Don’t Buy a Property Without Learning About Real Estate Inspections

|

If you have a real estate agent assisting you with purchasing a residential or commercial property, they will usually strongly encourage you to have a real estate inspection completed prior to closing. If you are handling a real estate investment on your own, you might not get the reminder to do this, but it is no less important that you do. Real estate inspections give you the chance to learn as much about the structure as possible. If a problem is found, you still have the chance to renegotiate with the seller or walk away from the deal.

Don’t Buy a Property Without Learning About Real Estate Inspections

One thing that even a real estate agent might not mention to you is that there are different types of real estate inspections. While you can go the route of a standard home inspector or commercial property inspector, it isn’t a bad idea to call in professionals for some of the more critical concerns. For example, if you want complete peace of mind, consider a roofing inspection, electrical inspection, plumbing inspection, and HVAC inspection, and have an exterminator provide a Wood Destroying Insect Report (WDIR). These various real estate inspections will give you a comprehensive and detailed view of the home or commercial property you are purchasing so that you don’t face any number of costly repairs that drain your wallet.

If you are under contract for a residential or commercial property in the Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina area, turn to us at NC Pest Control to schedule an inspection. We will check out the structure for signs of termites and other wood-destroying insects and provide you with a WDIR. We can also let you know if there are signs of other insect infestations and get you set up for pest control from day one so you can enjoy knowing you aren’t sharing your new property with a plethora of pests.
